Staff Show
Featuring art of the staff of the Frame & Print Shop
The Frame & Print Shop Staff has been putting your art in beautifully designed frames for the past 50 years! But did you know that our staff are also experienced artists? Come check out this eclectic art exhibit that features our staff art from oils and acrylics, pottery, water colors, and woodworking! This exhibit has a little bit for everyone from animals, landscapes, artist’s interpretations of Darwinian deviations and dinosaurs; you don’t want to miss it!

Meet the Artists

Suzanne Longmire
Suzanne Longmire has lived in North Carolina most of her life. She studied and received her degree as a Visual Arts Major from the NC School of Arts. Suzanne has worked as an oil and acrylics artist and custom framer most of her professional life and has been part of the Frame & Print Shop team for over two years.

Allison McCoy
Allison McCoy has had an artistic drive since she was 4 years old when she first drew a bottle of laundry detergent. Over the years, she has explored a variety of mediums. Her current works are mostly digital, watercolor, and pen and pencil sketches which focus on drawings of small objects and animals. Allison just received her associate degree in literature and has been a valued member of the Frame & Print Shop team for a little over a year.

Ricky Vertolli
Ricky Vertolli is a mixed-media artist living in Durham, NC. He graduated from Evergreen State College with a bachelor’s in visual arts and media Studies. He has been a vital Frame & Print Shop Member since October 2022.

Ash Lindner
Ash Lindner has been putting your art in beautifully designed frames for almost 2 decades… but did you know that she is also an artist? Ash has a fascination with the long extinct, rarely seen alien-like organisms, and kaiju. She specializes in colored pencil studies of flora and fauna that inspire her to artistic interpretations of Darwinian deviations. She has a keen eye for evolutionary oddities and dead enders to illustrate.- R.E. Ream IV

James Rinearson
James Rinearson is from Montclair, NJ and studied sculpture at Guilford College. James works with wood, metals, and plastics. James is one of our newest team members and joined us in March 2023.

Meg Whitmer
Meg Whitmer began painting, drawing and constructing works of art at age 8. As a professional landscape architect for over 40 years, she has worked on large scale installations creating unique outdoor environments in Florida, Wyoming and North Carolina. Since 2009 she has been collaborating in participatory eco-art projects along Florida’s coastlines. Her body of work includes watercolor, clay, metal, wood, concrete sculpture, textiles. Meg joined the Frame & Print Shop team in March 2023.

Anatolii Tarasuik
Anatolii Tarasuik is an abstract artist, composer and videographer born in Ukraine in 1978. In the summer 2022, his family fled from Kiev, Ukraine to North Carolina. Today he continues his art in Hillsborough, North Carolina where he has a studio at the Eno Arts Mill. Anatolii’s art style is abstract expressionism with oils on canvas with lots of color. He joined the Frame & Print Shop Team this past April.

Katy Kaltenbrun
Katy Kaltenbrun first started working at the Frame & Print Shop in January of 2021, but she has been framing for almost ten years in various shops. Originally from Reno, Nevada, she has a BA in Music and she is a classically trained singer. After first studying pottery at a community college, she took a private apprenticeship focusing on wheel throwing and raku pottery. On display is her raku pottery and photographs from her time in the Philippines as a Peace Corps volunteer.

Holly Yohn
Holly Yohn is a self-taught artist who grew up in Florida, and currently lives in Chapel Hill. She primarily works in acrylic and wood, and is inspired by old houses, ghost stories, and animals. She has been a framer for eight years and has been with the Frame and Print Shop since the summer of 2022.

Scott Shaner
Scott Shaner has been working in the Framing Industry for over thirty years. He studied Illustration and design at San Francisco Academy of Art. He has a degree in graphic design. For two years he served on the board of Professional Picture Framing Association for the Carolina’s. He enjoys figure drawing and sculpture when he is not at the Frame & Print Shop.
