Our Story

The Frame & Print Shop at University Place has proudly served our community since 1973, when the mall first opened its doors. For over 50 years, we’ve been honored to support the region’s vibrant and growing art scene. Our passion is helping local artists and customers bring their creative visions to life—whether through custom framing, fine art services, or art installation solutions. Our mission is to offer a personalized, collaborative experience with exceptional customer service, expert design guidance, and options that align with both your style and budget.

With over 100 years of combined experience, our team brings together some of the finest professional artisan framers from across the country. Each member contributes unique skills and perspectives, creating a collaborative team that delivers exceptional craftsmanship and truly custom framing solutions. Ricky has a foundation in visual art and media, and he applies his creative eye and attention to detail to all of his responsibilities. Julia has a background in fine art with an MFA in Painting from SCAD, and brings over a decade of experience in fine art framing and gallery curation to our team. As a framer, she excels in taking on special projects such as fabric pieces, shadow boxes, and delicate works of art. James brings his experience from previous jobs in high-end custom cabinetry and museum exhibits to safely install custom frames with purposeful, visual design satisfaction. Coming to us from Minted Corporation in California, our Assistant Manager, Kellen, has a wealth of experience in unique corporate art, home decor and interior design. Finally, Ash, our Store Manager with over 20 years of experience, is the “frame” that holds the team together. Her long history of art and framing skills, along with her photographic memory, management skills and positive leadership, is what guides the Frame & Print Shop daily. At the heart of our team’s mission is a simple goal: to make you happy with what you put on your walls. We’re deeply committed to providing exceptional customer service and proudly serving our community with care, creativity, and dedication.
